Wielding more than two decades of experience in health care—including credentials in science, psychiatry, and medicine—Rebecca A. Brauch, MD has been active as a physician specializing in home health evaluations for Signify Health, Inc. since 2022. An expert in internal medicine and inpatient infectious disease, she provides patient care, handles charting, develops treatment plans, conducts consultations, meets with an outpatient panel, and completes paperwork. Reflecting on her position and career in the field, she considers her values in life to be improving people’s lives by helping, caring, and loving.

Growing up in Kentucky, Dr. Brauch gravitated toward science at an early age. This interest, coupled with her compassion for others, motivated her to pursue a career path in the medical field. She ultimately earned a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Kentucky, Lexington, where she also gained experience as a nursing assistant at a local hospital, and then a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Louisville School of Medicine—and attained medical licenses in Ohio and Florida. At the same time, she completed a psychiatry residency at New York University before becoming a therapist.

Throughout her career as a therapist and in the medical field, Dr. Brauch served as a House Staff Association Treasurer and President at Akron General, part of the Cleveland Clinic, for several years before becoming associated with the Medical Associates of Cambridge, Inc. Prior to her current role, she was active as an internal medicine and infectious disease physician at Holzer Medical Center within the Holzer Health System. In addition, she has excelled as a presenter and speaker and has authored several research papers and articles for professional journals and texts. Over the years, she’s been recognized with honors in anesthesia, psychiatry, clinical neurosciences, physiology, neurosciences, microstructure and development, and a special accommodation in internal medicine; in 2016, she won the Best Consult Service Award.

Beyond her primary endeavors, Dr. Brauch, a longtime member of the American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, and Infectious Diseases Society of America, has extended her counseling services to organizations such as Tender Mercies and Sober Living. She has also volunteered for Habitat for Humanity International, the Ronald McDonald House Charities, Mental Health America of Northern Kentucky & Southwest Ohio, Sister Magdalena, and pantries and animal shelters.

Looking toward the future, she hopes to continue her work as a physician, especially within her local community. She also hopes to continue being involved in academia and research as much as possible. She attributes all her success to determination, her family’s support, her upbringing, and the good values that came with it.

Drawing on over a decade of expertise in the medical field, Dr. Brauch specializes in outpatient internal medicine and inpatient infectious disease. Prior to embarking on her professional journey, she pursued an education at the University of Kentucky, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in biology in 2002. Dr. Brauch continued her academic efforts at the University of Louisville Medical School, earning a Doctor of Medicine in 2008.

Dr. Brauch completed her residency in internal medicine at Cleveland Clinic Akron General in 2014, and a fellowship in infectious disease at the University of Florida in 2016. As a commitment to her field, she has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians and the Infectious Disease Society of America.

Dr. Brauch began her career as an infectious disease and internal medicine provider at Medical Associates of Cambridge from 2017 to 2020. She continued to garner expertise in her specialty at Holzer Medical Center between 2020 and 2021. Since 2022, she has found much success as an internal medicine and infectious disease doctor at Signify Health, a home health care facility. In this capacity, she is responsible for patient care and services, treatment plans, infectious disease consultations, prescription medications, outpatient panel meetings and phone conferences. Well regarded for her contributions to the field, Dr. Brauch has received a Best Consult Service Award in 2016.

Long dedicated to civic advocacy, Dr. Brauch contributes her time and services to her local church and animal shelter as well as the Ronald McDonald Charities. Among her professional accomplishments, she is most proud to have graduated from the residency program and to have provided superlative patient care by improving treatments for healthier outcomes based on patient feedback.

Dr. Brauch attributes much of her success to her determination and compassion on behalf of others, which has motived her to pursue her vocational path. Likewise, she is grateful for the love and support of her family. Looking toward the future, Dr. Brauch aspires to continue her work as a physician in her community and hopes to become more involved in academia and research.
